com port COM7 is not on device

Hello,

I'm trying GPSTracka on my WM5 device and I'm getting the above error. On details I get:

"

GPSTracka.exe

NullReferenceException

em GPSTracka.GPSTracka.writeExceptionToTextBox()

em GPSTracka.GPSTracka.gps_Error()

em OpenNETCF.IO.Serial.GPS.GPS.OnError()

em OpenNETCF.IO.Serial.GPS.GPS.run()

"

I have:

- imate kjam

- external BT receiver which connects in port COM7 of imate; for this I have only the options COM7 & COM6

On GPSTracka:

- it only shows COM3 on drop down

- I typed manually COM7 (or even COM6)

Do you have a clue of what's going on?

Thank you...

I don't recall if the older version had this(Older version referring to the current release listed on the main page), but the latest revision dated June 10th, does include several com options as well as the option to use the windows Driver which lets windows tell it where the GPS is located.

To use this at this point you would need to download and compile the source code yourself.

A whole bunch of changes have gone in which we're going to be testing out and ironing out, hopefully a new release soon.  I'll increment the version number to avoid confusion as well.

You'll want to go into your connection settings for GPS and play around with those to allow it to read from the external hardware.
